LeeAnne Fergason is the Senior Active Transportation Policy Analyst for the Oregon Department of Transportation and has been at ODOT since 2017, managing grant programs to fund pedestrian and bicycle construction projects and working to address barriers to people walking, biking, and accessing transit through policy. She values work with tribes, local jurisdictions, school communities, and community partners to help understand and implement the best solutions to these barriers. Prior to this position, LeeAnne spent 10 years on Safe Routes to School iniatives in the non-profit sector in Oregon. During that time she worked with many community partners across the state. She learned from working with partners that the people most effected by the problem find the best and most effective solutions.
