I am a Senior Transportation Planner at Metro, the regional government and Metropolitan Planning Organization for the greater Portland region. I've been an enthusiast of walking and biking around cities for over 40 years while growing up in New England as well as the last 20+ years in Oregon. One of my roles at Metro is to be the policy lead for active transportation within the Regional Transportation Planning team. Recently, I have worked on studies such as the Active Transportation Return on Investment, the Regional Framework for Highway Jurisdictional Transfer and Regional Emergency Transportation Routes.
