Apy Das is currently a Vision Zero program specialist at the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT), where she is involved in advancing traffic safety measures, analyzing transportation data, and working on initiatives that promote safer streets for all users - together driving towards Portland’s Vision Zero goal of eliminating traffic deaths and serious injuries. Prior to joining PBOT, Apy worked as a Transportation Engineer at the Washington State Department of Transportation, where she contributed to its various transportation planning and infrastructure development projects. Apy was born in Bangladesh where she graduated with a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology. Subsequently, she got an MS degree in Transportation Engineering from Portland State University. She is an Oregonian with her husband and two lovely kids.
